ITO IN LOVE is a Thai romantic drama set in the peaceful seaside city of Ito, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. The film explores love, memory, truth, forgiveness, and the emotional complexity of human relationships through an original narrative that gradually blurs the line between reality and storytelling.
At the center of the story is a late-night radio talk program where listeners are invited to share their personal experiences of love. One evening, a mysterious caller begins telling the story of "Sea" and "Koi," two people whose relationship was once filled with happiness but slowly fell apart through misunderstanding, regret, and unspoken emotions.
As the conversation unfolds, listeners begin to discover that the story is far more personal than it first appears. The caller eventually reveals that what he has been describing is actually a feature film inspired by his own life. Instead of professional actors, he invited ordinary people — including customers from his own café — to participate in recreating the memories that shaped his past.
As reality and fiction become increasingly intertwined, another guest on the program, "Rin," quietly listens without realizing that she herself is deeply connected to the story being told.
